Science Writer Fellowship

In the past, the Giovanni Armenise-Harvard Foundation, in conjunction with the Italian Science Writers Association (UGIS) has offered a Science Writers Fellowship Program for young Italian science writers working in Italy. The program is currently on hiatus.

Each year that the program isoffered, two Italian science writers at the beginning or mid-career are selected to spend a week in June or July at Harvard Medical School. Science Writer Fellows have the opportunity to interview top HMS researchers from diverse fields, tour laboratories, attend Armenise Harvard and/or HMS symposia and conferences, meet science writers from the HMS community, and work with editors at HMS. Successful candidates, who will be asked to join UGIS, must be available to travel to Boston for a week.
